Green Card Course

The beginner course is aimed at those who are completely new to golf!

This intensive course will allow you to get the Green Card authorization that allows you to play in many Golf Courses and start a road of many years of enjoyable Golf. In association with Svea Golf (Swedish Golf School) This programme is designed for complete beginners, intensive, to some degree, but also allowing some time to do other things like exploring Cascais, Sintra and Lisbon.

The course comprises a total of 10 training hours. Here you will learn the basics. And here the road to the green card begins, if you want.
The practical training includes the most important elements: foundation, Short Game, bunker stroke and putting.
In the theory part, we attach great importance to safety, how it works on the golf course, golf vocabulary, and the most important golf rules.
The course follows the Swedish Golf Federation's recommended training plan. Choose the option that suits you best or contact us if you want us to design a programme specifically tailored for you.
We also offer several different course designs during the season. All courses include 12 lessons hours. Choose the option that suits you best.

To get the Green Card
After the course you must start playing on the course with a sponsor, that is, an established golfer with handicap 36 or lower. If you do not know anyone who plays, we will help you find a suitable sponsor. You play your first rounds from a tee adapted for beginners. When you have managed to play 9-holes from adapted tee and received 18 points on the corresponding handicap 36 (par 3 +2) you are approved for Green Card. Then you can start the road towards handicap 36 and lower. The Beginner course includes detailed information on exactly what is required for the different parts to be approved and how the disability system works. What is a Green Card?

A Green Card serves as a certificate that proves you are comfortable with the foundations of Golf and aware of the basics of Golf including rules and etiquette. The Green Card course consists of a basic theory like most important rules, concepts, golf history, golf vocabulary, etiquette and general knowledge.
The programme adds this theoretical section to a practical part supervised by a Professional Teacher that introduces and teaches the “Golf Swing” firstly to practice on the range and later in the Golf course. The Golf Professional exemplifies and helps the new player in the long game, short Game, bunker stroke and putting which will be the pillars for many years.
