Our newest professional started golf as a 10 year old in the famous sand belt area of Melbourne Australia. Since then he has devoted the last 35 years to all aspects of the game. Before joining Hotel Quinta da Marinha, Gary previously held , teaching and director of golf positions in Europe and Asia and started in 2000 his own golfschool in the Netherlands. He has built over time an excellent reputation as a golf coach and helped thousands of golfers ranging from complete beginners to pro and even tour golfers. He is also a respected Junior coach certified by the Netherlands federation and has obtained excellent results with his pupils and youth teams. Some of his ex young students are now playing on European Professional Tours. Golf is Gary´s passion and he´s been travelling the world to fulfil it. His taste for challenges and (sunny weather!) led him to Portugal where he intends to bring these extensive coaching skills to all the players in the region Gary is also an expert club fitter with all major brands and is currently graduating to become a «TPI Certified» Golf Fitness Trainer. |
